When they are no longer safe to live at home alone. This is often very difficult for families/loved ones to admit. Here are things to look for:

1. Falling
2. Going up and down the stairs when she may be very unstable.
3. Forgetting to take medication.
4. Writing notes to remind themselves of basic/routine tasks, for example, “Turn off stove”
5. Needing help with dressing, bathing, toileting, or other activities of daily living

The cost is based on the room you select along with the charge for care which is determined through an assessment.

The community is private pay. A long-term health insurance policy may supplement your finances to assist with the cost. Also, if you are a veteran or a widowed spouse of a veteran you may be eligible.
